2019 | Faces of Portugal
These photos are some of my favourites. Travelling abroad with my parents, I appreciate now how free I was to be present and indulge in the newness of my surroundings. All these years later, only through these photos am I able to remember certain journeys we took and the emotions tied to them.
Over two weeks, I can’t help but appreciate how much my work improved. I sought curious moments to capture and got quicker at composing them in their environment. This approach transformed street photography for me from something that felt creepy or out of place to something that captured meaning and story.
I hope these are a treat for you as much as they are to me, sit back, scroll through. Let's get inspired to reimagine our world together. ︎
Her wonderous expression here is everything to me (and notice his in the shot before). We noticed them through the inside of a bookshop and I caught this moment of her just as I stepped out.
I love when peoples faces are hidden. There’s a mysterious layer to the image and a comfortable distance for the viewer to reflect
All these years later, this shot is my new favourite.
The light, composition, and her eyes that connect with you but again, don’t give the full story
this shot was taken on iphone!
this gives me Wes Anderson
I WISH I still had the raw photo for this image because the way everything layers and is aligned and contrasted and and.. its so perfect
